And of course, these are not all the thank yous we have received!
OMG Patty!!! So awesome ! And you didn't have to work on this on a Saturday and or on a holiday weekend.
However, I notice over the year of working with you and Melissa you both are so dedicated and knee deep in so many claims you go above and beyond 24/7 ! And I can tell you that is exactly the kind of man my daddy was!
I can't believe it we finally have got it! I want to thank you and Melissa again for your awesome assistance with every step we had to make, before and after dads passing.
Thank you again!
Awarded Accrued benefits February 2016
I wanted to thank you for everything you are doing for my father. He was granted the additional monthly amount from the VA. You provide great peace of mind and a service to people like my father and my family that is priceless. Please know that you are appreciated!
Thank you for all the help you have been during this process. Those benefits helped us be able to keep
her at Riverwood until her death and we were grateful for that.
Thank you again Patty! My parents were so thrilled to see the deposit on Christmas Eve. It certainly made their holiday! I have been touting you to our clients and to our referral sources such as skilled nursing communities.
They were in doubt about the 6 weeks, but I told them it was a very personal experience working with you and your team. I did place a review on Facebook as well!
You will always get referrals from us!
6 weeks to award December 2015
I couldn't wait to email you this morning. I called Dad last night after receiving the papers in the mail - he couldn't believe it. Again highest praises to you and your team we just both kept repeating "we couldn't have done it without the consultant".
What you are doing is more than a job - your services turn peoples lives around - people that so deserve their benefits but are at a loss where to begin and how to accomplish it!
Again, sincere thanks and much appreciation - great b-day present for Dad - his b-day is 11/14.
Award November 2015
As we began to research the V.A. Aid & Attendance Benefit for our elderly mother, we were fortunate to find the Elder Resource Benefits Consulting Group, Patty Servaes and Jeannie Darnell. All the research we found indicated that the application process with the V.A. was a nightmare of details and forms, and that the waiting time for approval could be up to 1 1/2 years. After Patty’s team determined that our mother was eligible, they guided us through the complicated process and helped us tremendously in completing the lengthy form. 3 1/2 months after the V.A. received our application, our mother received the full benefit to include retroactive pay from the initial claim date. We could not be more pleased. We highly, highly recommend Patty Servaes and her expert team in assisting with this benefit and other resources available to the elderly. Thank you so much!

Dear Jeannie and Patricia,
This email is to inform you that on Saturday, Nov 30, 2013, my mother, Bonnie, received a reward letter notifying her of entitlement to VA Aid and Attendance. Many thanks to you and your consulting firm for all your help with this matter. We are so very grateful.

Thank you very much for assisting my Mother-In-Law, Margaret in getting the VA Spousal Aid & Attendance Benefit. We began this arduous process on July 16, 2012 when Margaret was 90 years old. With your invaluable help, we finally succeeded on Oct. 11, 2013 - after Margaret had turned 92. We never dreamed this process would take 15 months!
Actually, my Mother-In-Law had resigned herself to either a denial from the VA - or the process outlasting her life. She openly wept when she received the letter of acceptance from the VA.
We are not sure who all receives this VA benefit - and how deserving they are. I can tell you that without the VA financial award offsetting some of Margaret's medical expenses, her assets would quickly have been depleted. On top of that, her mental attitude - so critical at age 92 - was dramatically improved because of the award. Margaret is definitely "deserving".
This would not have been possible without ERBC and your personal assistance. Over the 15 months, there were various changes to VA regulations and 2 denial letters. But you and your team advised us to remain patient and not give up hope. You then persisted, resubmitting documents numerous times, and then demanding the "reopening" of our claim. You personally called the appropriate VA agent to be sure they had proper updated information necessary to get us the final maximum award.
You and your Company's knowledge of, and experience in, working with a U.S. Government Department complete with changing regulations, changing Government forms, and normal bureaucracy was vital in guiding us to a successful conclusion.
We are eternally grateful to you for your professional assistance with this arduous process. There is absolutely no way we could have done this without you.

OMG! I have tears of joy. I had just finished writing a note of praise for you to the executive director of the Atria and then checked my email. You will never know how truly grateful I am. You succeeded in one morning to find what was deemed impossible to us for months! Thank you Patty from myself and my wonderful 88 year old mom. You have changed our lives.
10/22/2013 - client had been told by Nat'l Personnel Records and VSO that there was no record of the father's service, we were able to locate and mail a certfiied opy of the discharge within a hour of her contacting us
Let me thank you for all your patience, advise and assistance. You're doing an amazing service for folks in need.
Applied 4/14/2012 award 7/1/2012
Great news! Received in mail yesterday a VA packet with my Dad's Award & Proposal.
Packet stated that you should receive copy of letter as well. I found it very funny that they claim to have duplicate information from me - when they had sent notice that they had lost his claim. LOL
Thanks very much! I will be breathing again when his first deposit is received November, 1.
I am so grateful to have you mentor me through this #$%@ process. You provided a way to respond to every bump - your staff was essentially our life line through this process that is so foreign and emotionally taxing.

Thank you so much for all your help with the VA pension benefit. It really has been so helpful for us.
I was grateful for the pension for the time we had it and, once again, please know how much I appreciated your help in obtaining it. Also, thank you for letting me know about the Caregiver Homes program. Caring for my mother was a privilege and my choice, but, certainly, these two programs took the stress off me financially!!
My mother was a wonderful person and I was blessed to have her in my life for so long. I am now at peace believing that she is at peace.
ERBC client from 5/28/2010 - 8/1/2013
Patty, I am so grateful for your time and expertise in helping to get my mother increased A & A VA benefits. Your knowledge and understanding of the process was invaluable. The additional money will afford us the opportunity to get my mom more help during the day until I get there for her evening needs.
Thank you again, and again... Barbara

First of all, I hope you are having a great summer despite all this heat. I am emailing on behalf of my mom, Judith.
We have gotten 2 checks so far for $1,113 each so that has been going well.
I just don’t know how to thank you for all you’ve done. This will be a couple years worth freedom of constantly worrying about how I can pay for her care…
Again, Thank you so much!

Well Veteran, Ill Spouse - filed 8/14/12 award 11/5/2012 less than 3 months to Award Letter
Been meaning to send you an email but have been really busy with work. Sent paperwork in in december when my dad was finally home for awhile without complications. Heard from them in Febuary saying they were backlogged but would get looking over paperwork as soon as possible. Received letter in mid April accepting him. My dad and I cant thank you enough for the help in this process. It has kept him from having to move to a very small studio apartment which we are extremely grateful for. He was able to stay in the familiar surroundings of the apartment he has been in for about four years. You could not have made this process any easier for us at a time when everything else was in chaos. For this we are eternally grateful.

Uncle Joe died suddenly Saturday. I plan to send a death certificate to the VA. Is there a special form or procedure?
I want to thank you so much for your help is securing Uncle Joe’s VA benefits. You were fantastic! You made such a perplexing task methodically easy which helped me tremendously in providing my uncle a level independence and care I could have never achieved on my own. I wish you the very best that life can bring you.

We had a very nice meeting with the field examiner this morning. Everything you told me to do and have prepared was a great help to all of us.
It's a small world. The examiner and my Dad worked for the same bank in Western NY.
I can't thank you enough for all your help.
We are APPROVED!!!!!... Can you tell we are excited!! I just got notification in todays mail that our claim was received 12/6/11 and was approved 12/16/11. Did we break a record for the speediest approval time? It says that my father-in-law will receive $1,536.00 from Oct 1,2011 and 2/1/2012 he will receive 1,703.00. I will have my husband fax over the whole packet that they mailed to us for you to decifer and if there is anything else for us to do, please direct us. Looking forward to you continued guidance and imput.
I have to give you a hug for not giving up on me and keeping me positive. You can pass this on to other people who are working with. It is possible! Itís just takes a lot of time and donít give up hope.
Thank you much!!! Mark
Contacted us after filing on their own and having given up all hope.
Per request of My Dad, he would like to thank-you for all the work you did on our financials . You definatly went above and beyond, and we are extremely grateful. The benifits were awarded just as you said they would be .Dad says" If you are ever down our way stop in and sit a spell, he would hug your neck."
Thank-you ,God Bless you and keep you safe.
Filed 12/9/2011, award 12/29/11
guess what-- I got a letter on Sat. saying the request has been approved. For the monthly amount you said. Effective date is Sept. 15. Could not believe it!! No need to send any additional faxes tomorrow like I was going to. Nice to know Uncle Sam sometimes does things quickly once in a while. here's what they said: granted death pension benefits effective Aug. 24, 2011 approved additional allowance for aid and attendance effective Aug. 24
Anyway thanks for all your help. It was really appreciated.
Ain't you something? I received a letter today from Congressman Wolf and her application was approved! She was granted "pension with aid and attendance." She will be receiving $1056.00 per month, beginning on 1 July 2010, so I assume her first payment will contain the retroactive amount. Right? They didn't approve her "claim" for accrued benefits and indemnity compensation, although I didn't know we even applied for that.
I just want to say thanks again for all your assistance. This is truly a lifesaver. God bless.
You are an Angel !! Everything you have guided me on, has come to fruition exactly as you said it would. After we reached out to local congressman Frank, I received my Dad's approval letter in the mail, from the VA yesterday. Approved for 1,644 a month. This will certainly make for a grateful day Thursday. I would love to talk to you some more, but I just wanted you to know asap. Please enjoy your Thanksgiving, knowing you made a family in Massachusetts very happy this Thanksgiving. :) I will set up a follow up chat for next week.

Guess who got $5,280.00 deposited directly into their checking account on November 24th?
You guess it, my Mom! I haven't received an letter yet from the VA, but I am assuming they have decided she in not incompetent and her benefits are now being paid.
Now this is a Thanksgiving to really be thankful for!
I will let you know when I get a letter from the VA & can you remind me of what I need to do yearly?
Client submitted application on 6/17/2010, award letter on 10/26/2010 with incompetency proposed. Successfully fought incompetency, full funds released on 11/24/2010.
Great news today.
Got a package from the VA that the pension has been approved. $1644 per month!
I am just reading through the package, but this is awesome.
Thanks for all your help!

A 1 day turnaround is truly a miracle, you must have the magic touch!
I am very happy with the $659.00 per month. Dad and I are very lucky to have you in his corner fighting for him! It is very ironic that my Dad served this country proudly as a gunner on the front line in WWII, and we all continue to be fighting for him to get the money he deserves.
Thank you for never giving up on us!
Client was denied Medicaid, we were able to get the VA to immediately issue a letter enabling the denial of Medicaid benefits to be overturned.
THANK-YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You turned a nightmare into a happy ending. I can now sleep at night. Hopefully, this will go smoothly from here on out.

I just signed on to check my Mom's money and make sure the money that I'm transferring to her account each month actually made it there. I'm totally shocked to find that the Feb - May allotment AND the June allotment are IN HER ACCOUNT!!
It's like magic!!
Hopefully this brings closure to our adventures with the VA and we won't need you again... but I have offered several people info about this awand and told them to contact me if they need your services.
Thanks again. -k
Mission accomplished! We are receiving monthly VA benefits, as you know, and have finally received the amount in arrears. Direct deposit remains to be seen, but that is minor. I want to thank you so much for your help over these past several months. It goes without saying that I couldn't have done it without you.
You perform a valuable service and you do it so well! It's been a blast.
We received a response regarding the inquiry to the "missing" income from my mother's application for VA Aid and Attendance award. They are taking no action to reduce her 2006 and 2007 benefits! Thank you for your assistance in drafting the response to their inquiry! Without you I am sure we would have had to pay the VA about $10K due to the income oversight on her application. This was a huge relief! Thank you, once again, for your assistance with this issue!!!! You are the BEST!!!
WE GOT APPROVED!
Happy to inform you that my aunt was approved by the Veterans for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation and also received additional monies because my uncle was a POW and the decision was made that his death was service related. On behalf of my aunt and entire family, we thank you so much for all your efforts on our behalf!! Good Luck to all of you and God Bless you!! Sandra
Yesterday I received an approval letter for my request for "Burial and Accrued Benefits". Just in case you cannot open the attachment I will mention that the letter indicates that an award check in the amount of $4224.00 will be forthcoming. I am assuming that this is the correct amount due and see no reason for a dispute.
Thank you very much for your help and guidance in this matter, without which I would definitely not be receiving this benefit.
At this wonderful time of the year it is only fitting that we received the allocation from the Veterans Admin for the aid and support for my mom. The allocation is for the full amount dispensable by the VA which allows us to keep my mom @ her independent living facility. If not for your base knowledge and your due diligence I don't believe we would have ever achieved this outcome. Our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation goes out to and your staff, along with our sincere holiday wishes.

Thank you for all the help we got from you. My mother is now receiving her VA benefits it took about 2 months. Keep up the good work in helping the elderly, remember some day that will be us. Thanks again,
I just heard from the Congressman's office, said he knows you well and you are a professional at this!! He asked me to shoot him an email filling him in on my case. Any suggestions on wording this? You can ask me for a letter of recommendation any day!!! You know your stuff!!
My family and I thank you for all your help you have given me to apply and receive this benefit for my dad , so he can live with his wife in assisted living . Attached is a letter from start to finish to receive the Veteran Benefit for my dad.

I met with the VA representative yesterday and completed the Fiduciary forms with him. I am officially the VA custodian for my mother now. He is waiving the grace period for me and doing the background check and credit check immediately so they will release the retro to me within the next 15 Ė 30 days.
He asked me how I was able to complete the paperwork so efficiently and when I started to say your company name he smiled, nodded and said good Iím glad you were referred to them!
We went over how all of this will work and why, and answered all of my questions before leaving.
Thanks for your help again! Youíre really making a difference out there!

I canít believe the timing with all of this and all within the last 24 hours! You have been my life line through this maze of paperwork, claim forms and VA protocol. How can my family and I ever repay you for your kindness? I could never have done this without your help and guidance and have no idea how many seniors and families you have assisted but Iíll never forget you and hope to meet you someday so I can give you a big hug. From the bottom of my heart thank you!!!!
2.5 months to award letter
I want to thank you for all the help and guidance you provided me on my mother's behalf with regards to getting the VA benefits for her.Although I had provided the VA all that they had requested, I could not understand why there were so many obstacles that popped up.Without your help, I believe the only path left, would have have been to get an attorney involved. All I kept thinking is the road blocks were designed to discourage keeping at it.You helped us get though the process and do it quickly with little effort.
My mom got her first check shortly (about two months) after your suggestions and direction were put on paper and re-present to the VA.
Client had filed on their own and was stuck - ERBC reviewed paperwork and was able to get award granted and released.
